Which name is correct? Jadite, Jadeite, Jade-ite or Jad-ite ?
According to Joe Keller and David Ross’s new book, Jadite: An Identification and Price Guide
Joe Keller explains that the earliest references to what we have termed "Jadite" were by the McKee Glass Company in the 1920s. They simply referred to it as "Jade Glass." By 1932, the Jeannette Glass Company named the product "Jadite" . It wasn't until. after WWII that the glassware was referred to as "Jade-ite" by Anchor Hocking. Anchor Hocking also called it "Jad-ite."
